Superstar Chiranjeevi is preparing for his grand entry back to the theaters after a long hiatus of over two and a half years. The just-released feature THE LAST DAYS OF MAN combines family drama with taste and commercialism that will most likely lure viewers. Besides, there’s a buzz all around the film, mainly because of the cameo role of Venkatesh, who will appear in the Sankranti release.
The film is set to arrive at the box office on Monday, January 12, 2026, but a paid premiere is avowed a day in advance. Paid premieres have become quite common for big releases, often having a second show at a special price. But, as Shankara Varaprasad Garu is coming as a family entertainer, thus the premiere ticket price is kept within a reasonable limit.
To draw a parallel, the film Nandamuri Balayya’s Akhanda 2, which had a premiere rate of Rs. 600, while the most awaited Prabhas star Rajasaab, releasing during Sankranti, is also expected to charge that sum. 800 for its special shows. Officials in Andhra Pradesh have approved the rates for these screenings, while the situation in Telangana remains uncertain due to ongoing cases challenging special shows and additional pricing.
For now, it remains unclear whether paid premieres and higher rates will be allowed for both films in Telangana. If Rajasaab receives approval, Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu is expected to follow suit. Fans eagerly await confirmation as the Sankranti release race heats up.
