LG Electronics has lifted the curtain on its next-generation OLED lineup at CES 2026, bringing back its iconic Wallpaper TV in a dramatically refined form. Headlining the range is the LG OLED evo W6, billed as the world’s thinnest True Wireless OLED TV, combining an ultra-slim design with cutting-edge picture, gaming and AI technologies.
Ultra-Thin Design with True Wireless Freedom
The new OLED evo W6 revives LG’s Wallpaper Design first introduced in 2017, now reimagined in a 9mm-class ultra-thin form factor. Through extensive miniaturisation and a complete redesign of its internal structure, LG has achieved a sleek, lightweight profile that sits perfectly flush against the wall using an improved wall-mount system.
One standout feature is LG’s True Wireless technology that transfers all the physical connections to a different Zero Connect Box which can be located 10 metres away. This lets the TV screen be completely free from cables while wirelessly receiving 4K video and audio that are visually lossless, thus maintaining both aesthetics and performance around the clock.
Hyper Radiant Color Technology Sets New OLED Benchmark
Powering the 2026 OLED evo series is LG’s new Hyper Radiant Color Technology, designed to significantly enhance brightness, color accuracy and black levels while reducing screen reflections. The Wallpaper TV is LG’s brightest OLED yet, achieving up to 3.9 times higher luminance than conventional OLED displays with the help of Brightness Booster Ultra.
To ensure clarity even in bright rooms, the W6 uses a specially engineered low-reflectance screen that has earned Intertek’s industry-first Reflection Free Premium certification. This gives the audience the opportunity to have the glare-free and distraction-free experience of LG’s Perfect Blacks and Perfect Colors.
The α11 AI Processor Gen3 is the one responsible for these visual improvements, which has a Neural Processing Unit that is 5.6 times stronger than the previous one. The Dual AI Engine is the one that has been used in the process of image making to achieve a picture that is more natural and realistic in the end by simultaneously performing noise reduction and natural texture preservation.
LG Gallery+ Turns the TV into Living Art
LG has broadened the Gallery+ platform and thus transformed the Wallpaper TV into a custom-made interior design feature. The customers have the option to select from a collection of more than 4,500 ordered visuals, which range from movie scenes, and digital art to gaming visuals, personal pictures, and AI-generated photos, among others. When combined with background music that matches the mood, the Gallery+ feature enables the TV to act as a living and changing décor element when not in action.
Built for High-End Gaming
LG continues to cater to gamers with industry-leading specifications. The Wallpaper TV and other 2026 OLED evo models support 4K resolution at up to 165Hz, along with NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, AMD FreeSync Premium, a 0.1ms response time, and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) for smooth, tear-free and highly responsive gameplay.
Smarter, More Personal AI TV Experience
LG’s webOS platform gets a major upgrade with deeper AI personalisation. Using Voice ID, the TV recognises who is speaking and automatically switches to that user’s customised home screen, complete with preferred apps, widgets and recommendations.
The experience is further enhanced by Multi-AI integration, bringing together Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot for conversational assistance, content discovery and contextual information. New features like ‘In This Scene’ provide instant details about actors and related content, while also enabling AI image generation. All personal data is protected by LG Shield, an advanced security system that won a CES 2026 Innovation Award.
Setting the Standard for OLED Innovation
Commenting on the launch, Park Hyoung-sei, President of LG Media Entertainment Solution Company, said the Wallpaper TV represents the convergence of LG’s wireless leadership, design innovation and more than a decade of OLED expertise. He added that LG aims to continue setting the benchmark for the future of premium television.
Visitors can experience the LG OLED evo W6 Wallpaper TV and the full 2026 OLED evo lineup at LG’s booth (#15004) at the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 6 to 9, 2026.
