Andhra Pradesh Weather Forecast (22–28 October 2025): IMD Warns of Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Across Regions

The residents of Andhra Pradesh are being warned to keep themselves alert as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a week-long weather warning for heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds in varioussub-regions including South Coastal Andhra Pradesh (SCAP), North Coastal Andhra Pradesh (NCAP), and Yanam etc from 22nd to 28th October, 2025. Along with the wind speeds of 35–45 kmph, the forecast predicts moderate to very heavy rainfall throughout the week with gusts occasionally up to 55 kmph.

🌧️ Day-Wise Forecast: Andhra Pradesh Weather Outlook

🔹 Oct 22 (Day 1)

Very heavy rain in SCAP and Rayalaseema. Thunderstorms possible in NCAP, Yanam, SCAP, and Rayalaseema. Wind gusts: 35–45 kmph and up to 55 kmph.

The districts that have been put on alert are Prakasam, Kadapa, Annamayya, and Chittoor.

🔹 Oct 23 (Day 2)

Heavy rain likely for some areas of SCAP and Rayalaseema. Thunderstorms will affect NCAP, Yanam, SCAP, and Rayalaseema. Winds will be gusty sometimes up to 55 kmph.

🔹 Oct 24 (Day 3)

SCAP and Rayalaseema may receive isolated heavy rain. There will be storms in the coastal and inland areas.

🔹 Oct 25 (Day 4)

Contiguous heavy rain will be over SCAP and Rayalaseema. The wind will be lightening and thunderstorm in some districts of the coast.

🔹 Oct 26 (Day 5)

Southern districts will experience continuous heavy rain and thunderstorms. The wind will range from 35–45 kmph and at times go up to 55 kmph.

Heavy rain is likely to occur in a few pockets of SCAP and Rayalaseema.

🔹 Oct 28 (Day 7)

Showers and thunderstorms will cover NCAP, Yanam, SCAP, and Rayalaseema areas.

IMD has cautioned the public, farmers, and fishers to be careful, to not go out on rough seas, and to tie down anything that might blow away in the wind. The authorities should keep a check on places that are susceptible to flooding and waterlogging.
