Two Hombale Films’ productions have been given a new breath in the Oscars 2026 race. Kantara: Chapter 1 and Mahavatar Narasimha have made their way to the general entry list of the Academy Awards, thus taking a significant leap toward being noticed on a global scale.
By being included in the general entry list, both films have now got the chance to be nominated for a number of major categories like Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Producer, Screenplay, Production Design and Cinematography. Hombale Films verified this information on X by posting that the films have only two steps to reach the Oscars.
The 98th Academy Awards ceremony is set for March 15, 2026, and the world-famous Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, will be the venue of the greatest movie event of the year. Furthermore, the Academy disclosed that the announcement of the nominees would take place on January 22, 2026. For the nominations, this year’s Oscars will take into account only films that will be displayed in 2025.
