As the festive Sankranti season kicks off, entertainment lovers are in for a treat both in theatres and on OTT platforms. While big-ticket films line up for theatrical release, OTT platforms are also rolling out a packed slate of movies and web series this week.
The festive rush begins with Prabhas’ The Rajasaab hitting theatres, followed by Thalapathy Vijay’s final film Jana Nayaku on the same day. Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan’s Parashakti is also set to arrive shortly after, adding to the big-screen buzz.
At the same time, OTT platforms are providing more than 15 new and fresh titles for each language and genre. The digital releases are headed by Akhanda 2, featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role. The action sequel is now being watched closely on OTT after a lukewarm run in theaters.
