James Cameron’s newest science fiction masterpiece, Avatar: Fire and Ash, has broken the Rs 100-crore barrier in India within the very first five days of its theatrical release.
As per the report of the trade site Sacnilk, the movie’s first five days collection was Rs 85.5 crore nett, making it the top-grossing Hollywood release in India for 2025 so far. Its entire gross is Rs 103.3 crore.
The movie’s first day of release brought in Rs 19 crore, and it finished the first weekend with a strong nett collection of Rs 48.25 crore. On Monday there was a slight decline in receipts to Rs 9 crore nett and on Tuesday to Rs 9.25 crore nett.
Worldwide, Fire and Ash has now claimed the 15th spot in the list of highest-grossing films of all time, gathering USD 398.6 million over the course of five days, thus beating Thunderbolts that had a total earning of USD 382 million. The North American market brought in USD 102.4 million while the rest of the world was responsible for USD 296.2 million.
The lineage of the cast includes excellent performers like Zoe Saldaña and Sam Worthington who are about to star in the Avatar trilogy’s third part, which has already made billions for the director James Cameron.
