Andhra Pradesh, Telangana Weather Update (Nov 4, 2025): IMD Warns of Thunderstorms as Bay of Bengal Low Pressure Strengthens

Clouds gather over coastal Andhra Pradesh as IMD forecasts heavy rain and thunderstorms due to a Bay of Bengal low-pressure system.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) notified Andhra Pradesh and Telangana about the rain and thunderstorm producing a weather alert calling it widespread during the coming days. The new low-pressure system formed near Thailand has crossed Myanmar and it is re-entering the Bay of Bengal on November 4, which will be the reason of heavy rainfall in both states.

🌧️ Wintery Conditions Like Monsoon

The season of winter has already begun but the weather is still raining in the same way as monsoon does, especially in the southern part of the country. This continuous rainy weather has resulted in the destruction of the crops in the different areas, and the farmers’ concern has increased.

🌊 Low-Pressure System Back in the Bay of Bengal

Weather pundits are very sure that the present stormy condition will traverse the Bay of Bengal and after that, head towards Bangladesh at the onset of the week. Furthermore, there is a possibility of another low-pressure area being formed in the vicinity of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, thus maintaining the climate of the region under the active weather watch.

As a matter of fact, Cyclone Kalmaegi, which hit the Philippines, is now on its way to Vietnam and bringing along very strong winds of 140 km/h that are going to affect the weather in Southeast Asia.

☁️ IMD Forecast: Rain from November 4 to 6

IMD forecasts light to moderate rain to occur on Coast, Rayalaseema, and Yanam from November 4 to 6, 2025. Satellite information supports the theory of heightened rain probabilities in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana due to the increased cloudiness at least through the middle of the week.

🌦️ Telangana Weather Outlook

Morning: Some clouds in the sky yet sun might be partly visible

Evening: Showers of moderate rain to be expected after 4 PM, especially in Hyderabad, southern, and central Telangana

Night: Light rain to be there until around 10 PM

🌧️ Andhra Pradesh Weather Outlook

Morning: Sun shines with clouds scattered here and there

Evening: Rain to be expected in post 4 PM along the coastal areas, which will be spreading inland during the night

Intensity: Light to moderate rainfall till about 11 PM

🌬️ Wind & Temperature Report

Winds from the Arabian Sea: ~25 km/h

Winds from the Bay of Bengal: ~30 km/h (toward the low-pressure area)

Winds in Andhra Pradesh: ~15 km/h

Winds in Telangana: ~8 km/h

Temperature: ~30°C (Telangana), ~32°C (Andhra Pradesh)

Humidity: Over 90% during the night, which will cause the probability of late-evening showers

⛈️ Rain Likely to Extend Till November 7

IMD officials are of the opinion that the low-pressure system will gain strength by November 5, thereby bringing heavier rain and thick cloud cover over the Telugu states. Weather activity is anticipated to last at least until November 7.

⚠️ Advisory for Farmers

Farmers from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are recommended to take measures in advance to protect their standing crops and to reduce the risk of loss that could be caused by the prolonged rainy season.
