Telangana has been forecasted by meteorologists to experience a shift in weather patterns, as even the nighttime coldest zone of the area might get rain. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that although cold winds will be there for a long time, the rain activity will be around in the next few weeks.
Cold Wave Tightens Grip Across Telangana
The beginning of December marked the arrival of severe winter conditions for Telangana. Numerous districts are being recorded with unusually low night temperatures which not only make it very uncomfortable for the people but also lead the nights and mornings to be characterized by strong cold winds and thick fog. The cold wave has affected the normal routine, particularly for morning walkers and drivers.
Rain Likely in Late January
Meteorologists already disclosed that the present cooling trend would remain until January. Western Disturbance, however, is the meteorological phenomenon responsible for bringing the predicted rainfall by the end of January. Besides, snow and rain from the Western Disturbance falling together with the cold wind, the forecasters also indicated the state of the whole would be affected by the rapid temperature drop.
Lowest Temperatures Recorded
Telangana has experienced a significant reduction in the temperature. The same cold environment prevails in the cities of Hyderabad and Adilabad where the lowest temperature measured is 7.2°C. Very dense fog has been observed in Hyderabad in the mornings, particularly in Patancheru.
Other minimum temperatures recorded include:
- Medak: 7.8°C
- Hanamkonda: 10.5°C
- Nizamabad: 11.7°C
- Ramagundam: 11.9°C
- Nalgonda: 13.4°C
- Khammam: 14°C
- Mahabubnagar: 14.1°C
Cold breezes still sweeping many areas, temperature lower than usual Ronaldo has been reinstated to the charges against him.
Warning Issued for Several Districts
The Meteorological Department has hinted that there will be a prolonged period of cold wave. The lowest temperatures in the aforementioned districts of Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy are projected to go down even more.
IMD officials alarmed that in these zones, the lowest temperatures might fall 3 to 4 degrees less than the normal in two to the next three days. The population there is requested to remain careful, take the needed precautions and keep track of the official weather updates.
