Cold wave grips Telangana as IMD warns of possible winter rains in coming weeks.

Telangana has been forecasted by meteorologists to experience a shift in weather patterns, as even the nighttime coldest zone of the area might get rain. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that although cold winds will be there for a long time, the rain activity will be around in the next few weeks.

Cold Wave Tightens Grip Across Telangana

The beginning of December marked the arrival of severe winter conditions for Telangana. Numerous districts are being recorded with unusually low night temperatures which not only make it very uncomfortable for the people but also lead the nights and mornings to be characterized by strong cold winds and thick fog. Western Disturbance, however, is the meteorological phenomenon responsible for bringing the predicted rainfall by the end of January. Besides, snow and rain from the Western Disturbance falling together with the cold wind, the forecasters also indicated the state of the whole would be affected by the rapid temperature drop.

Lowest Temperatures Recorded

Telangana has experienced a significant reduction in the temperature. The same cold environment prevails in the cities of Hyderabad and Adilabad where the lowest temperature measured is 7.2°C. Very dense fog has been observed in Hyderabad in the mornings, particularly in Patancheru.

The lowest temperatures in the aforementioned districts of Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy are projected to go down even more.
