Director Buchi Babu Sana, who made his debut with the hit film Uppena, has opened up about his life story and his work with top Telugu stars his time working with Megastar Chiranjeevi and Junior NTR.
Buchi Babu used an interview to explain that Chiranjeevi’s blessings brought success to their project Uppena. The Megastar provided him with the main story for the project which he wanted to create with Vaishnav Tej according to the director. Buchi Babu observed Vaishnav Tej
Vaishnav Tej showed interest in the story but he required his uncle Chiranjeevi’s permission before he would accept the role. Buchi Babu said he narrated the story to the Megastar a week later and received an immediate green signal.
The director made a humorous remark about his preparation process for the narration of the story to Chiranjeevi because he studied harder than his preparation for the EAMCET and ICET examination. He found Chiranjeevi’s narration approach to be highly motivating because the actor demonstrates character movements through listening to audio material. Buchi Babu expressed his desire to show all his future stories to Chiranjeevi at upcoming times.
Buchi Babu developed a strong friendship with Junior NTR during his assistant director work on Nannaku Prematho which he filmed in London and Spain. He remembered that NTR would call him “Bujji” in a friendly way while he treated all members of the crew with the same respect.
Buchi Babu described an event from the past which he considers significant because NTR praised his story after hearing it yet he joked that the writer must have copied it from another source. The director considered it his greatest honor because it demonstrated the narrative’s power.
