Israel Defense Forces Says It Struck Iran’s Presidential Office in Overnight Tehran Airstrikes

Israel Strikes Iran’s Presidential Office in Tehran; IDF Targets Key Leadership Compound

Israel announced on Tuesday that it conducted airstrikes during the night which targeted important leadership locations throughout Tehran including the Presidential Office and the Supreme National Security Council building.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued an official statement which reported that the Israeli Air Force executed strikes based on precise intelligence to hit what the IDF described as the regime’s most central and significant headquarters located in Tehran.

According to the IDF multiple munitions struck multiple facilities within the highly secure leadership compound which extends across several streets in central Tehran.

The Supreme National Security Council building

A gathering site used by senior security decision-makers

A military officers’ training institution

Additional key regime infrastructure

The IDF reported that the compound functioned as a main security center where officials conducted essential security meetings and developed Iran’s nuclear program and strategic defense operations.

The organization confirmed that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei used the location before his death during the joint attacks by Israel and the United States which took place on Saturday.

The IDF identified the compound as the main operational center for the Iranian regime which its attack will disrupt to decrease the regime’s capability to operate its command and control system.

Iran has begun its counterattacks after the death of Supreme Leader Khamenei and other high-ranking officials.

Iranian forces executed drone strikes against United States military assets in the area, which they launched on Tuesday as a response to the attacks which killed Khamenei and other Iranian officials.

A drone strike hit the U. S. Embassy in Riyadh which resulted in a fire and Saudi authorities reported minor damage to the building. The U. S. Embassy in Kuwait was also struck and has been temporarily closed.

The conflict has entered a new phase of escalation because the fighting which started between Iran and Israel has now extended to include Gulf countries and U. S. forces.
