Another famous Malayalam movie of the previous year is on its way to digital platforms. Bha Bha Ba (Bhayam Bhakti Bahumanam) featuring the great actors Mohanlal and Dileep is ready for its online streaming debut. The movie, which came out in the cinemas on December 18 with great expectations, is now prepared to amuse the viewers on the web.
Bha Bha Ba OTT Release Date and Platform
With expansion of its Malayalam content library to the fullest extent possible, Zee5 has gone ahead and bought the digital streaming rights to Bha Bha Ba. The company has announced that the film will be available for streaming from January 16.
For the moment, the Malayalam version with English subtitles is the only one that is sure to be released. There is still no such thing as official confirmation for the Telugu dubbed version, but inferences have been drawn by sources that other language versions might be rolled out eventually in order to attract a pan-India audience.
Box Office Performance
Bha Bha Ba has been able to collect decent numbers at the box office even though it got mixed reviews. The film was created with a financial plan of around ₹40 crores and generated almost ₹50 crores as worldwide gross. Trade analysts predict that the movie should mainly reach the audience who are fond of action-comedy entertainers through OTT, as a consequence of the first theatrical release.
About the Film
The movie titled Bhayam, Bhakti, Bahumanam was indeed a noteworthy production for the Indian film industry during the period it was released, mainly because of the very rare Mohanlal and Dileep on-screen combination which was already the talk of the town even before the film was released. Mohanlal’s long guest role and his funny side were among the film’s major attractions. Also, Vineeth Srinivasan and Dhyan Sreenivasan were the other important actors in the movie.
Ran by Dhananjay Shankar, the plot tells the story of how three different people’s lives cross paths, with the insane character Gilli Bala driving the action, played by Mohanlal. Fans liked the actor’s presence on-screen and the funny parts so the film was acclaimed by the masses while it was frowned upon by the general public due to its weakly outlined story.
On the one hand, Bha Bha Ba did not work wonders at the box office; on the other hand, its digital streaming might be the second life it deserves, especially for the viewers who want to see the massy and funny avatar of Mohanlal at home.
