Aishwarya Rajesh, who has acted in several Telugu films earlier, earned strong recognition this year with Sankranthiki Vastunnam. Multi-lingual actress is now busy with the lead role in a thriller murder mystery that was released last month in Telugu cinema. The film has reached a point where it can be displayed on the OTT platforms and this is the time and place for the live viewing.
A Tamil movie, Theeyavar Kula Nadunga, starring Arjun Sarja and Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead roles, was released in theaters on November 21. In Telugu, the title was Mufti Police. The movie, however, due to its low-key marketing, could not attract much audience and thus went unnoticed by the viewers for most of the time during its theatrical run.
The previous week saw the Tamil version being released on Sun NXT. The Telugu version, however, has been officially announced by the platform to be available for streaming on Aha OTT starting Friday, December 19.
About the Film
Mufti Police revolves around a gripping murder mystery set in an apartment complex. With the clock striking twelve, a brutal murder of a writer by the name of Jeba takes place, and this grizzly incident sends ripples of horror amongst the neighborhood. The case goes to Inspector Magudapati (Arjun Sarja) who is evidently the most competent man for the job. With the investigation going into more detail, drawback is the whole building is now full of suspects.
Inspector did catch the real culprit? Who was the murderer, and what hidden truths came to light during the probe? What role did Aishwarya Rajesh play in bringing to light the clandestine matter?
