Day 1 | 22nd Sept, Monday – White

Day 2 | 23rd Sept, Tuesday – Red

Day 5 | 26th Sept, Friday – Green

This colour stands for fertility; it also has associations with peacefulness and new beginnings, all ingredients contributing to growth and balance via our life.

Day 6 | 27th Sept, Saturday – Grey

With its balanced nature, grey stands for the humbleness and calm. Emotions get terra firma in this colour’s presence—ideal to focus inward.

Day 7 | 28th Sept, Sunday – Orange 

Orange gives off a spark of warmth, enthusiasm, and energy, thus creating a vibrant ambiance.

Day 8 | 29th Sept, Monday – Peacock Green

Colour has a significant presence in the Navratri rites. Each colour channels specific energies of Goddess Durga; hence it is said to be auspicious to wear clothing and accessories of that colour on the respective day. From Garba and Dandiya devotees in Gujarat and Maharashtra to office-goers of India, all enthusiastically participate in this colourful tradition.

According to the weekday on which Navratri begins, the colour for the first day is set; the days after continue on a fixed course. Wearing the designated colour is beyond following the trend: it aligns one’s aura with the spiritual mantra of this sacred festival, giving each day brightness, optimism, and respect.
