40 New OTT Releases This Week: 21 Must-Watch Titles, Only 6 in Telugu

A packed OTT slate awaits viewers this week, with 40 movies and web series set to premiere across platforms between December 8 and 14. From Hollywood blockbusters and global web series to regional cinema, streaming giants such as Jio Hotstar, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Zee5, Sony LIV, Aha, ETV Win, Sun NXT, Apple TV+ and Manorama Max are rolling out fresh content across genres including horror, crime thrillers, romance, action, fantasy and documentaries.

While 21 titles stand out as special recommendations, Telugu audiences have a limited choice, with only six releases available in Telugu or Telugu-dubbed versions this week.

Highlights on Jio Hotstar

Jio Hotstar leads the list with big-ticket releases like “Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Season 2,” “Superman” (Telugu dubbed) and the global event “The Game Awards.” Romantic comedy “Aromale” and music documentary “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour – The Final Show” also premiere on the platform.

Netflix Brings Global Variety

Netflix offers a diverse mix, including “Blood Coast Season 2,” “Record of Ragnarok Season 3,” “Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft Season 2,” “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery,” and Telugu crime thriller “Kantha.” Family dramas, anime, reality shows and international series add to the binge-worthy lineup.

Amazon Prime Video’s Thriller Feast

Horror and thriller fans can catch “The Strangers Chapter 2,” “The Long Walk,” “Die My Love,” and “Chainsaw Man: The Rise of Ark.” Lighter titles like “Merv” balance the slate.
