The first official poster for Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming directorial Spirit, starring Prabhas and Triptii Dimri, was unveiled on Wednesday, giving fans a glimpse of the film’s gritty and intense tone.

Sharing the poster on X (formerly Twitter), the makers wrote:

“You loved what existed before. Now fall in love with what you never knew existed.”

Poster Sparks Curiosity

The poster features Triptii lighting a cigarette held between Prabhas’s lips, while he stands with his back to the camera. His bruised and wounded back, marked by gashes and wrapped in bandages, adds to the raw and dark visual narrative.

A teaser released on October 23 to mark Prabhas’s 46th birthday had revealed that he plays a former IPS officer who ends up in jail under the strict supervision of Prakash Raj’s character.

Triptii Dimri plays Prabhas’s love interest in the film. The ensemble cast also includes Kanchana and Vivek Oberoi, marking Prabhas and Triptii’s first collaboration. For Triptii, this is her second project with Vanga, Bhushan Kumar, and Pranay Reddy Vanga, after the film Animal.

Behind-the Scenes

At first, Deepika Padukone was the choice for the main female character, but as per the media, she has been substituted due to differences revolving around her pay and also because of allegations of unprofessional behavior.

The movie Spirit is being made under the banners of T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures. Vanga revealed during the promotion of his 2023 film Animal that the male lead’s character in Spirit is not a rich guy like the characters in Animal and Arjun Reddy but rather is of a middle-class origin. This has added a new dimension of his storytelling style.
