India celebrates its 77th Republic Day because leaders send their warm greetings to show their dedication to their country. State leaders and top officials from China United States Russia France European Union Iran Nepal Australia and Bhutan came to India to express their congratulations while they signed agreements to boost diplomatic ties.
Chinese President Xi Jinping sent Republic Day greetings to the Indian people by establishing China and India as neighboring countries that maintain diplomatic relations. The two countries’ diplomatic ties need to grow stronger according to him.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio described the India-United States relationship as a historic connection which links the two nations that represent the world’s largest and oldest forms of democratic government. He said both countries will achieve their international goals through defence and energy partnerships which will develop in emerging fields.
The Russian ambassador to India Denis Alipov used the occasion to congratulate Indians because he wanted to show how New Delhi actively participates in solving global problems. The Russian ambassador to India confirmed that his country maintains a strategic partnership with India which will continue to develop through different areas of their relationship.
French President Emmanuel Macron sent his greetings while he remembered his past participation in India’s Republic Day festivities which he considered to be a sacred memory. He showed confidence that India and France would develop better relations while he anticipated their future meetings.
Ursula von der Leyen who served as Chief Guest at this year’s celebrations sent her greetings to all Indian citizens. She announced that India and the European Union approach a free trade agreement while she insisted both sides must develop their strategic alliance to new heights.
