Sai Pallavi May Replace Deepika Padukone in Kalki 2898 AD Sequel

Sai Pallavi rumored to join Kalki 2898 AD sequel, replacing Deepika Padukone.

The highly anticipated sequel to Kalki 2898 AD will begin production under Prabhas who now prepares to begin his work. Current industry reports indicate that a significant change in casting will happen. The director Nag Ashwin is currently assessing Sai Pallavi as a replacement for Deepika Padukone who plays a main character in the movie.

The sources report that Sai Pallavi needs to join the project because she has become a top contender who might join the project soon although no official confirmation exists at this time. Sai Pallavi currently plays Goddess Sita in Ramayana which makes her an ideal candidate to portray Sumati who will give birth to Kalki, the final avatar of Lord Vishnu.

Prabhas’ sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD impressed audiences with its futuristic interpretation of the Mahabharata while receiving critical acclaim. The upcoming sequel which will begin production in late February will include legendary actors Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas.

Sai Pallavi will appear in the upcoming Kalki sequel which she will also star in Ek Din directed by Sunil Pandey and featuring Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan who will release on May 1 2026.

Industry insiders report that Bollywood stars like Alia Bhatt attract North Indian audiences while the sequel requires Sai Pallavi who possesses strong South Indian fanbase and versatile skills. The official casting announcement will arrive within the upcoming period.
