According to SITE Intelligence Group, the Islamic State group has taken responsibility for a fatal incident at a Chinese eatery in Kabul. The explosion, which took place on Monday in the Afghan capital, has resulted in the deaths of at least seven individuals.
As per a communication referred to by SITE, the ISIS affiliated group in Afghanistan has already positioned Chinese nationals among its target group. In addition, the group claimed that the Chinese government’s allegedly intensified measures against the Uyghur Muslims were the main reason for the incident.
The blast has been linked to a string of assaults credited to the Islamic State in Afghanistan, which in turn has brought to light the security problems in the country that the government is trying to control along with the violence of the extremists.
So far, law enforcement has not released any extra information about the casualties or the circumstances of the attack.
