The horror mystery thriller in Telugu, Shambala, has Aadi Sai Kumar, Archana Iyer, Swasika Vijayan, Indranil, and other actors in the cast, and has been slowly getting strong at the box office after its premiere on December 25, 2023. The film directed by Yugandhar Muni has been talking positively to the audiences and that has made the OTT platforms more eager to get the film.
During the recent Shambala success meet, director Yugandhar Muni shared the news that immediately after the private screenings the OTT rights for the film were bought. His comments have gained wide attention on social media.
Muni speaking at the event gestured that the film’s success was due to collaboration among the teams. He said, “This victory is not mine only”. It belongs to the entire team. Our producers, Mahidhar garu and Rajasekhar garu, stood firmly behind the project. Without Aadi Sai Kumar, this film would not have been possible,” he said, praising the cast and crew for their commitment.
The director also recalled the challenges faced during production, particularly while shooting the interval block. “Almost all the artists were hurt at least a little bit and really went on to show great commitment,” he pointed out. Then he praised the crew, mentioning the camera work of Praveen K Bangari, the music of Sri Charan RR and the editing by Shravan as the key factors of the movie.
Telling about the audience’s reactions, Yugandhar said Shambala has touched a very strong emotional aspect. “We made the movie difficult and multi-layered. The audience’s response has been great. Some people even see parallels to the Bhagavad Gita in it.”We expected success, but not at this scale,” he remarked.
On the OTT front, the director revealed that the film attracted immediate attention after advance screenings. “We screened the film for Rajesh Danda garu, who confidently predicted it would be a hit. Soon after, two OTT platforms acquired the rights. Maitri Shashi garu especially praised the interval sequence,” Yugandhar said.
At the end of the speech, Yugandhar mentioned gratitude to the protagonist, Aadi Sai Kumar, for taking the venture to whiter field. “From the beginning, Shambala carried a divine energy. The industry stood together in support, and the audience made it a big success. I am deeply thankful to everyone,” he added.
