IPL 2026: SRH Announces Full List of Retained, Released & Traded Players; ₹25.50 Crore Purse Remaining

Sunrisers Hyderabad announces retained and released players ahead of the IPL 2026 mini-auction.

Sunrisers Hyderabad has made it officially public the entire list of players they have kept, released, and traded before the IPL 2026 mini-auction. Since the teams have to send their final squads to the BCCI by November 15, SRH comes to the auction with a fresh plan and a big spendable amount of ₹25.50 crore.

After winning only 6 out of 14 matches in IPL 2025, the Sunrisers team finished 6th and couldn’t qualify for the playoffs even in the year they were defending their title. The Sunrisers now have a plan of combining the star players with the youngsters for the new team.


SRH Released Players for IPL 2026

SRH have parted ways with several big names as part of their squad restructuring ahead of the auction. The released list includes:

  • Mohammed Shami
  • Adam Zampa
  • Rahul Chahar
  • Wiaan Mulder
  • Abhinav Manohar
  • Atharva Taide
  • Sachin Baby

These releases open up significant room for fresh signings during the mini-auction.


SRH Retained Players for IPL 2026

The franchise has opted to retain a strong core, backing its leadership group and consistent performers. Key retained players include:

  • Pat Cummins (Captain)
  • Travis Head
  • Abhishek Sharma
  • Heinrich Klaasen
  • Harshal Patel
  • Ishan Kishan
  • Nitish Kumar Reddy

Additional retained players:
Aniket Verma, R. Smaran, Harsh Dubey, Kamindu Mendis, Brydon Carse, Jaydev Unadkat, Eshan Malinga, Zeeshan Ansari.

This mix ensures continuity while keeping room for targeted improvements.
