RTC launches special pilgrimage tour packages to Srisailam, Arunachalam, Kanchi and more

TGSRTC buses depart from Telangana as part of newly launched pilgrimage and tourism tour packages covering major temple destinations.

Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has unveiled special tour packages for the devotees desiring to visit, among others, Srisailam, Arunachalam and Kanchi, which are the major pilgrimage centres in the neighbouring states of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. This measure intends to provide a service to the passengers from Telangana who are increasing in number and who are going to the major temples.

RTC after fixing the ticket prices and putting in place special bus services for the Medaram Jatara has now shifted its attention to the organised pilgrimage tours. The newly announced packages cover several popular temple destinations and will be operated using different categories of buses based on passenger demand.

Under this scheme, RTC’s BHEL depot will manage Super Luxury and Rajdhani bus rides to major sacred places in the Telugu states like Kaleshwaram, Medaram, and Srisailam along with Arunachalam and Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu, mainly on public holidays.

There will be a special trip from the BHEL depot on January 23 to visit Ganagapur, Pandharpur, Kolhapur, and Tuljapur. The cost of this package is ₹3,000 per person which covers a one-night, two-day trip.

In addition, RTC has announced a “Goa Yatra” special service scheduled to depart on February 6. The package of three nights and four days will include the destinations of Hampi, Goa, and Tuljapur with a cost of ₹3,500 per person.

RTC authorities announced that the special buses would also be operated from several depots around the Greater Zone to provide transportation for the pilgrims visiting Medaram. Services are being introduced based on passenger demand, and the response to the newly launched tour packages has been encouraging.

For bookings and further details, passengers have been advised to contact RTC officials at 9391072283 or 9063401072. Officials added that more such packages may be introduced in the coming days in response to rising demand.
