During the early hours of Thursday, three people were injured in an episode of crowd stampede at Shivneri Fort near Pune in Maharashtra in the presence of a crowd of thousands who had gathered on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, police officials stated.

The incident took place at around 3:30 am in the Meena Darwaja area in Junar tehsil.
