Cloudflare faced a fresh global outage on Friday, disrupting access to several major websites and apps, including Canva and Downdetector. Users worldwide reported issues, with many taking to X to complain about services failing to load. The disruption also affected popular trading platforms Groww and Zerodha, though Zerodha later clarified that its Kite services had been fully restored.
“Cloudflare global outage resolved. Kite services have been restored. You can now trade normally. We regret the inconvenience caused,” the company said.
Cloudflare confirmed it had fixed an issue linked to its dashboard-related APIs. The outage briefly pushed its shares down 4.5% in premarket trading.
This marks Cloudflare’s second major incident in less than a month. In November, a similar outage had impacted key online platforms including Spotify, ChatGPT, and Donald Trump’s Truth Social.
The world of Cloudflare is fast, critical, and services of the highest repute. Even the slightest problem at Cloudflare can disrupt services from around the globe. Annoyed social media users expressed displeasure over the repeated outages and warned the company to avoid disrupting customers’ services in the future.
