The makers of Akhanda 2 have officially confirmed that a fresh release date for the highly awaited Nandamuri Balakrishna–Boyapati Srinu film will be revealed shortly. The production company 14 Reels Plus made a public statement through social media following the last-minute delay of the film that was said to be due to financial difficulties.

The team, in their announcement, stated that they had done all they could to stick to the original release date but were still unable to since there were circumstances that they could not foresee. “We did our best for the release of Akhanda 2, but it was still not possible. Sometimes unexpected things happen. Our apologies to the fans and movie lovers eagerly waiting for the film. Our thanks to Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu for standing by us during these difficult times,” the statement read.

Akhanda 2’s premiere was scheduled for December 5 but later on it got delayed unexpectedly which sparked a lot of rumors. Suresh Babu, one of the key personalities in the industry, raised the topic at the press meet and expressed the identical disappointment as the hearsay did. He said that he was one of those who were helping to solve the film’s issues.

Makers are expected to reveal the new release date very soon.
