Baahubali Returns: A Cinematic Revival Like No Other

Director SS Rajamouli’s legendary saga, Baahubali: The Epic, has made a grand comeback to theatres — this time as a re-edited and remastered version combining both The Beginning and The Conclusion into a single 3-hour-45-minute spectacle.

The refreshed cut includes enhanced visuals, remastered sound, and even a new scene featuring actor Nassar during the iconic “Nippule Swasaga” sequence. Viewers have hailed the experience as “goosebump-inducing”, “wholesome”, and “a proper IMAX feast” even ten years after its original release.

Star Reactions: Gautam Ghattamaneni Praises the New Version

At the U.S. premiere, Gautam Ghattamaneni, son of superstar Mahesh Babu, praised the revamped film:

“The visuals were stunning—it felt like watching it for the first time again. And this time, no two-year wait to find out why Kattappa killed Baahubali!”

His reaction mirrors the excitement of fans worldwide who are reliving the grandeur of Rajamouli’s masterpiece.

Record-Breaking Re-release Box Office

Baahubali: The Epic has rewritten history again — collecting ₹10 crore worldwide on Day 1, including ₹5 crore from India and ₹5 crore from North America.

The film’s ₹6 crore in pre-sales surpassed the previous re-release record held by Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh (₹5.08 crore), making this the biggest-ever re-release opening for an Indian film.

Rajamouli’s Surprise Visit Delights Fans

Fans at Hyderabad’s Prasads PCX theatre were treated to a special moment when SS Rajamouli made an unexpected appearance during the screening.

“I can’t express my love in words. It’s your love that brought Baahubali back to the big screen,” Rajamouli said to thunderous applause.

Fans Recreate Iconic Scenes in Theatres

Social media is flooded with videos of fans recreating famous moments — including a viral clip of a fan lifting another like baby Baahubali, mimicking Sivagami’s legendary scene.

One user captioned it, “Ayya ayya! Veedevado manishini lepesadu! #BaahubaliSceneRecreate #Vizag.”
Another simply wrote, “Orey! So funny!”

Social Media Buzz: “Still Feels Fresh and Epic”

Viewers on X (formerly Twitter) are raving about the re-release:

“Still feels fresh and gives an adrenaline rush! 225 minutes of pure euphoria. Kudos to @ssrajamouli and team!”

“Wow… speechless! Baahubali: The Epic remains one of the most gorgeous, gargantuan, and unforgettable cinematic experiences ever made.”

Fans also praised MM Keeravani’s score and the performances of Prabhas and Anushka Shetty, calling them “majestic” and “irreplaceable.”

Critics’ Verdict: Edited. Elevated. Emotional.

Early reviews applaud the re-edit’s tighter storytelling and visual refinement. One review summed it up perfectly:

“#BaahubaliTheEpic — Edited. Elevated. Emotional. Even after multiple viewings, this unified version feels new, thrilling, and truly cinematic.”

A Celebration of Timeless Indian Cinema

With its record-breaking box office, massive fan turnout, and nostalgic emotional pull, Baahubali: The Epic proves once again that great stories never fade.

Audiences are calling it “a celebration of Indian storytelling at its grandest,” reaffirming SS Rajamouli’s position as India’s most visionary filmmaker.
