IPL 2026 Retained and Released Players: Full List for All 10 Teams Ahead of Mega Auction

IPL 2026 mega auction preparations intensify as all 10 franchises reveal their full list of retained and released players ahead of the November 15 deadline.

As the IPL 2026 mega auction draws nearer, the ten franchises are working on their rosters. The teams have until November 15 to submit to the BCCI their final list of players who will be retained and those who will be released, while the mega auction is scheduled for December 15-16 at Abu Dhabi.

The current season signifies a major transformation: on one hand, the franchises are allowed to retain players in unlimited numbers, while on the other hand, the previous system is completely reversed. However, the total salary budget will still be the same as before, which is ₹120 crores, and the maximum number of players in the final squad for each franchise will be 25.

The trading window that was opened on June 4, right after IPL 2025, will remain open until one week prior to the auction, and it has already been speculated that some major deals are about to take place.
