Amazon Prime Video’s blockbuster spy-thriller The Family Man is back with its highly anticipated Season 3, premiering on November 21. After two successful seasons that reshaped Indian OTT storytelling, the creators Raj & DK are gearing up to take viewers deeper into Srikanth Tiwari’s world—this time with bigger stakes, new additions, and unheard-backstage stories.
Chiranjeevi Was the First Choice for Srikanth Tiwari
Manoj Bajpayee has come to be associated with Srikanth Tiwari. However, not many are aware that Megastar Chiranjeevi was the first actor that Raj & DK considered for the role.
The project was initially thought to be an important one, and the producer was approached; the latter, in turn, had drawn the script in the actor’s favor. However, the actor showed a lack of interest as he had just finished playing another lead role in a film that had gained huge popularity and was about to get another one.
The directors had the intention of changing the group of characters at the home; however, the project still did not go through. Eventually, alongside a drawn-up storyline, the event was turned into a full-fledged web series—the moment Manoj Bajpayee became a part of it.
How Manoj Bajpayee Nearly Rejected the Role
When Raj & DK approached Manoj Bajpayee, the actor initially declined, assuming the project would be heavy on violence or romance—genres he wanted to avoid. After persuasion from mutual friends, he finally heard the script and agreed.
Interestingly, Manoj’s wife was skeptical too, assuming “web series” meant typical daily soap-style content. But after seeing the final product, the family was thrilled with his performance and the series’ success.
