Following a number of postponements, the filmmakers of Akhanda 2: Tandavam have finally come up with a new release date for the movie starring Balakrishna–Boyapati Srinu, which is very much anticipated by many. The film, which was first set to be released on September 25, was later pushed to December 5; additionally, the release of the film is a worry for the fans since the movie has experienced multiple delays and is still waiting to define its status.
The unforeseen delays have led to industries engaging in heated conversations. A vital huddle is taking place among producers Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta, and others like Dil Raju, Sirish, and Nandamuri Balakrishna to fix a new date for the release.
According to industry reports, the new release date is a matter of two dates—December 12 and December 25. In contrast, international distributors have raised alarms against the December 25 release date. Their reasoning: heavy losses due to the last-minute delay and that the Christmas Eve being a tough spot to get screens for the premieres. Hence, December 25 is a date that is least preferred.
Thus, with this dilemma, December 12 has turned out to be the most probable date. It is said that the owners of the theatres have already been given the orders to retain the current displays and cutouts, which is suggestive of the makers’ inclination towards the earlier date.
Nonetheless, the conclusive decision remains dependent on the forthcoming meeting and Balakrishna’s signoff. Fans are now in suspense about whether Akhanda 2 will finally roar in theatres on December 12, or it will face yet another delay.
