Special Trains Announced from Kakinada and Narsapur to Telangana; Halt Stations Listed

Special festive trains announced by South Central Railway to manage holiday travel rush.

During the festive season that includes Christmas, New Year, and Sankranti, South Central Railway (SCR) has made the decision to provide more train services connecting Andhra Pradesh with Telangana to handle the large number of passengers. This resolution is taken considering the upsurge in travel demand on the long-distance routes holiday season.

According to these agreements SCR will operate extra railway services on the Narsapur–Vikarabad and Kakinada–Vikarabad routes which are heavily used. These extra services are meant for passengers in pain due to overcrowding on their regular services.


Narsapur – Vikarabad Special Trains

  • Train Nos: 07257 / 07259 / 07215
    Departure: Narsapur – 8:00 PM (January 17, 18 & 19)
    Arrival: Vikarabad – 10:00 AM (next day)
  • Train Nos: 07258 / 07260 / 07266
    Departure: Vikarabad – 9:30 PM (January 18, 19 & 20)
    Arrival: Narsapur – 10:00 AM (next day)

Halt Stations:
Palakollu, Bhimavaram Town, Akiveedu, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Guntur, Miryalaguda, Nalgonda, Cherlapalli, Secunderabad, Begumpet, Hitech City, Lingampalli.


Kakinada – Vikarabad Special Trains

  • Train Nos: 07241 / 07243 / 07285
    Departure: Kakinada Town – 6:20 PM (January 17, 18 & 19)
    Arrival: Vikarabad – 9:45 AM (next day)
  • Train Nos: 07242 / 07259 / 07286
    Departure: Vikarabad – 6:55 PM (January 18, 19 & 20)
    Arrival: Kakinada – 9:20 AM / 9:45 AM (next day)

Halt Stations:
Samarlakota, Dwarapudi, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Rayanapadu, Khammam, Warangal, Khajipet, Secunderabad, Begumpet, Hitech City, Lingampalli.


The vacation time is thought to bring in a staggering amount of travelers, so the train operations are recommending that the people planning the trip should get their tickets in advance and also contact the ticket office immediately because the demand on the main tracks is likely to remain high.
