An IPL young gun from Karimnagar has been sold. Perala Aman Rao, the village’s boy from Saidapur mandal, has been bestowed with Rajasthan Royals during the IPL 2026 auction at a whopping ₹30 lakh that took place in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
Rao is a terrific and a bit reckless player whose batting skills always keep him in the limelight. He has been part of the Hyderabad Cricket Association and has topped the runs charts in both the Under-19 and Under-23 tournaments displaying his talent and making it impossible for others not to recognize his potential.
Still, the announcement is quite bewildering as Aman lacked a passport that was a massive hurdle in his way to the auction. Sunil Rao said Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar did a great job and the young cricketer was given a passport right away, which allowed him to take part.
It is the first time that a player from Karimnagar district has been picked for the IPL, a period that not only brought happiness to the entire area but also made them proud.
