In a rare OTT collaboration, Amazon Prime and Netflix have joined forces, bringing iconic James Bond films to Netflix fans. Starting January 15, 2026, MGM Studios’ Bond hits like Die Another Day, No Time to Die, Quantum of Solace, and Skyfall will be available on Netflix for three months.
The deal also includes other blockbuster movies such as Rocky, Creed, and Legally Blonde, along with Amazon Originals like The Man in the High Castle and crime drama Hunters. While currently available in the US, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, and Latin America, Indian viewers may get access in the future.
Amazon aims to expand James Bond’s reach and generate significant licensing revenue, following strategies similar to Warner Bros.’ previous content-sharing moves. Chris Oettinger of Amazon MGM Studios said, “James Bond is the most influential franchise in cinematic history. Our partnership with Netflix gives more fans around the world the opportunity to access these classic movies.”
In this case, the fans of Bond movies can expect a Netflix OTT experience, which is going to be a new dimension to the competition between the two platforms in terms of streaming.
