In an utterly sorrowful event, the two Indian girls who were very good friends and lived together in the US, lost not only their lives but also the families that were waiting for them back in India.
The names of the girls are Kadiyala Bhavana and P. Meghana Rani. They were 24 years old and from Mahbubabad. The pair got their tech degrees in Telangana and later moved to the US for master’s degrees on an educational visa two years ago. After completing their studies, they decided to stay in the US and search for job opportunities.
Bhavana and Meghana were roommates in Dayton, Ohio, and chose to celebrate Christmas in California. Sadly, on Sunday, their car lost control and fell down the mountainside in California after reportedly hitting the Alabama Hills area.
The families of the deceased are deeply mournful and have had their lives turned upside down by death. The kin are now attempting to raise funds for the transfer of the bodies to India for the final ceremonies. To solicit public support for the burial costs, they have established GoFundMe accounts.
The unexpected passing of the two girls has cast a shadow of mourning over their places of origin as their friends, family and even strangers are shedding tears for the early death of two talented students abroad.
