Next in line to be announced as Samsung’s flagship, the Galaxy S26 series is rumored to already be in the planning stage with a release date set in early 2026. OnLeaks has leaked images and a video clip on X (the newly rebranded Twitter) revealing a prototype of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, suggesting a possible alteration in the formation of the camera module. The S26 Ultra body is overall resembling the S25 Ultra’s but the camera section appears to be taller and closely resembles that of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 which contains three primary sensors.
Expected Launch and Variants
The Galaxy S26 series will probably come out in February which is the usual launch period of Samsung. The upcoming series is believed to consist of three variants which are Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra.
Specifications and Features
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to come with a 6.9-inch AMOLED display, having a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3000 nits. Besides, the flagship processor Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will be installed so that it works with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage space.
Camera and Software
According to rumors, the high-end Samsung will feature a quad-camera system consisting of a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, a 50MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom, and a 10MP auxiliary. Most probably, the phone will be running One UI 8.5 which is built on Android 16.
Battery and Charging
The S26 Ultra is probably going to be packed with a 5,000mAh power cell and a 60W wired charging facility, which is a remarkable upgrade from the S25 Ultra’s 45W wired and 20W wireless charging support.
The enhance of the design and performance will help S26 Ultra Galaxy to climb on top of the throne within Samsung flagship series of 2026.
