The latest trade reports reveal that Aditya Dhar’s action drama Dhurandhar has reached a point in its box office run where it is making history as the first-ever Hindi film to collect a minimum of 10 million every day for 27 consecutive days.
The spy thriller with Ranveer Singh in the lead role grossed ₹10.50 crore nett in India on Wednesday, which marked its 27th day in cinemas, according to the industry monitoring service Sacnilk. That is a remarkable success, particularly in view of the fact that the rise of OTT platforms has been detrimentally influencing film theatres.
Dhurandhar has earned a remarkable ₹722.75 crore nett in the Indian market since its premiere on December 5, the report stated at the time of publication on Thursday.
Record-Breaking Run
The movie has broken several box office records while it was being screened in theatres. It has made its way to the top of the list of Indian films that have earned the most in 2025 and it is the first Hindi film to surpass ₹700 crore in India. The success also makes Dhurandhar the biggest box office hit of Ranveer Singh’s career to date.
Dhurandhar is the seventh highest-grossing Indian film ever at the world box-office and it is the best among all the top-grossing Indian films. It is the lowest ranked after the topmost releases like Jawan, KGF: Chapter 2, RRR, and Dangal.
Cast and Story
The action drama has a strong supporting cast made up of the actors Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and R. Madhavan.
Set in Pakistan in the early 2000s, the story follows the Indian spy who is sent to dismantle the city’s mafia system. Ranveer Singh is the one who takes the part of Agent Hamza Ali Mazari, a character that has been applauded for its demand of acting and the large scale of the character.
Slowly but steadily, Dhurandhar is still setting new records by one of the digital releases in the post-pandemic era for Hindi cinema with its unbroken box office appeal.
