Sarfaraz Khan After Vijay Hazare Ton: “My Century Is Fine, But It Would Have Been Better If My Brother Had Got One Too”

“Conditions Were Challenging Early On”

In his post-match comments, Sarfaraz said that the circumstances at first were such that batting was difficult and running was hardly possible.

“When I went to bat, the scoring was not very fast and the two openers had played safely. The bowlers had the support of the pitch early on, so I was just sticking to my plan of getting settled at the crease first. Once the pitch became more favorable for batting, I switched my approach and tried to take the initiative by scoring quick runs and thus putting the opposing team under pressure,” said Sarfaraz.

This century has once more made it impossible to overlook the case of Sarfaraz Khan for the Indian n selection.

Praise for Brother Musheer Khan

Sarfaraz additionally pondered over his alliance with Musheer Khan, his younger brother, who scored a firm 60 off 66 balls, with five fours and two sixes included.

“Musheer was already in when I arrived at the crease, and he got his fifty first before me. We both had a dream of scoring centuries together in the same match. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen this time,” Sarfaraz said.

He further stated that the brothers had previously squandered similar chances during the Ranji Trophy season, hence their moment was bittersweet despite Mumbai’s convincing victory.
