Sankranthi rush: South Central Railway announces special trains on key routes

The South Central Railway has come to a conclusion to add extra trains to certain routes because of the Sankranthi festival in January, which has resulted in a passenger increase.

The railway is going to provide along with the holiday period special trains for the routes passing through Hyderabad-Vijayawada, Hyderabad-Sirpur Kagaznagar, and Anakapalle-Charlapalli, which have been used a lot by the people.

The biggest alteration in the train schedule is that the trains will be available on the Hyderabad–Sirpur Kagaznagar route on January 9 and 10. Moreover, the identical scheme will be valid for the special trains’ return trip between Hyderabad and Vijayawada, with one train assigned for each of the return routes – Sirpur Kagaznagar to Hyderabad on January 9 and 18, and one more from Vijayawada to Hyderabad.

On January 14, a special train will leave from Charlapalli to Anakapalle, and the next day there will be another from Anakapalle to Charlapalli.

The South Central Railway has recommended the travelers to coordinate their travel beforehand practice in order not to get inconvenienced by the festival season and especially the Sankranthi festival, besides checking the train schedules.
