Pawan Kalyan’s martial arts adventure started way before he got into movies or politics. When he was still a kid in Chennai, his training included years of karate instruction plus other similar arts, which nice lay the basis for the technology and philosophy of martial arts. Eventually, he developed an interest in the study of Japanese samurai warriors, which he undertook with exceptional dedication and academic-oriented focus.

He also became the first Telugu individual outside Japan to be inducted into the prestigious Takeda Shingen Clan under Soke Muramatsu Sensei—an honour rarely granted beyond Japan.

Adding to his accolades, the Golden Dragons organisation conferred upon him the title “Tiger of Martial Arts.”Pawan Kalyan in his advanced training program trained with the famous Budo expert Hanshi Professor Dr. Siddique Mahmudi, who is recognized as one of the leading figures of Japanese martial arts in India. His guidance helped Pawan Kalyan not only to acquire perfect Kendo technique but also to appreciate the art from the philosophical point of view.
