Anil Ravipudi, director of the new movie Mana Shankaravaraprasadgaru, has revealed that it is the quickest-written script in his career with only 25 days for completion. The movie, with Ravipudi’s collaboration with Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead role, has turned out to be a great hit at the box office.
Ravipudi, during the film’s ‘Mega Blockbuster Thank You Meet’ on Tuesday, expressed his sincere thanks to Chiranjeevi for allowing him to direct the film.
“Normally, I take three to three and a half months to finish the full script. I was surprised myself when I completed the first half in 15 days and second half in just 10 days. This is the least time I have ever spent on writing a story,” Ravipudi stated.
He regarded Chiranjeevi as the primary reason for his fast writing process. “When one approaches writing for Chiranjeevi, the whole picture gets sorted out—what the start should be, how the story should progress, and how it should be concluded. The reason for every scene was no other than the actor’s style, expressing, dancing, feeling, and dominating the screen,” he said.
Ravipudi further said that Chiranjeevi’s skill to express overpowering emotions with tenderness, control the camera even in action scenes, and display the navarasas with his signature style made the writer’s job easier. “I just filled the blanks and showcased his strong points. That’s why the screenplay was developed so fast,” he mentioned.
The filmmaker, on the other hand, never failed to show his appreciation to the Mega fans all over the world for their great love and support. In his words, “It was a humbling experience to be in the company of a generation star who acted in more than 150 films. The 85 days of shooting were simply unbelievable with each and every day being something unusually special.”
Ravipudi did not hesitate to applaud the production companies for their backing and said that he was very hopeful about the upcoming partnerships in making quality films. Besides, he was very appreciative of his writing team and all the other technicians, for instance, music director, editor, cameraman, fight master, etc., in getting the film ready at the scheduled time.
“I might keep doing my films in different versions, but my team was there for me every time with no complaints. The success is for all the people who were involved in making the film,” he said in the end.
