SBS’s forthcoming fantasy romance drama No Tail To Tell has revealed a highlight teaser that is quite interesting, thereby increasing the audience’s interest in the drama’s magical plot and out-of-the-box love story.
The cast includes Kim Hye Yoon as Eun Ho, a weirdo Gen Z gumiho (nine-tailed fox) who has no intention to ever get transformed into a human, and Lomon as Kang Si Yeol, a super self-assured world-famous footballer. The narrative depicts their tumultuous adventure as their destinies become oddly connected.
The clip starts with peeks into Eun Ho’s distressful history, her persistent voice-over adding, she does not want to be a human, love, or live a life full of woes. But, the teaser soon changes its pace with an astonishing scene where Eun Ho is seen sleeping next to Kang Si Yeol—pointing to a connection she had formerly sworn to shun.
Eun Ho exists in the human realm according to her own rules, regarding life as a game where she participates only in the fun part and with no fallout. Her life intersects with Kang Si Yeol’s, a self-centered soccer star whose existence is entirely about football. Their bond is initiated by Hyun Woo Seok (portrayed by Jang Dong Joo), a downtrodden soccer player who is in desperate need of a second chance after being relegated to a lesser league.
When Kang Si Yeol uses Eun Ho’s wish card to help Hyun Woo Seok, Eun Ho grants the wish—but at a heavy cost. To prove her powers, she swaps fates, leaving Si Yeol to face unexpected consequences. The teaser captures this turning point with Eun Ho’s chilling line, “I’ve swapped your fates,” followed by Si Yeol’s desperate cry as his life spirals out of control.
The video also introduces several mysterious characters, including Geum Ho (Lee Si Woo), a gumiho who once lived with Eun Ho; Lee Yoon (Choi Seung Yoon), a wealthy conglomerate heir and Eun Ho’s VIP client; and Jang Do Chul (Kim Tae Woo), a shaman relentlessly pursuing the gumiho.
While implying that Eun Ho might lose her otherworldly abilities the teaser concludes by indicating a transformation in the relationship between Eun Ho and Si Yeol. The conflict of feelings and the increase of peril lead the audience to the question of whether Eun Ho is able to get her powers back—and at the same time fall in love for the very first time.
The fantasy romance No Tail To Tell is set to premiere soon on SBS.
