Dhurandhar, the mega hit starring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, is now at the end of its run in theatres, nevertheless, the flick has been writing new chapters in the history of cinema. The seventh week of the film’s release has been its least productive week but it has still managed to mark a significant achievement.
The Monday of the seventh week saw Dhurandhar earn ₹1.40 crore, which is the highest daily revenue since its premiere. The film kicked off the week with a small amount of ₹1.75 crore, but gradually gained a strong hold and was on the second and third day attracting an estimated ₹3 crore and ₹3.75 crore respectively.
If we include the Monday’s stats, Dhurandhar’s Total for Week 7 is now around ₹9.9 crore, making it the largest seventh-week collection for a Hindi movie, breaking the previous record of Stree 2 (₹9.35 crore) that was held for a short period.
Week-wise Box Office Breakdown
Here’s how Dhurandhar performed week by week:
- Week 1: ₹207.25 Cr
- Week 2: ₹253.25 Cr
- Week 3: ₹172 Cr
- Week 4: ₹106.5 Cr
- Week 5: ₹51.25 Cr
- Week 6: ₹26.35 Cr
The film’s earnings have steadily declined after dominating the box office for over a month, but it remained one of the rare films to cross ₹100 crore for four consecutive weeks.
Dhurandhar Still Ahead of New Releases
Despite slowing numbers, Dhurandhar continues to outperform new releases such as Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos, and remains strong against competition from films like Avatar: Fire and Ash, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, Ikkis, and The Raja Saab.
Total Collections So Far
The film has now achieved an astonishing net collection of ₹826.41 crore thereby fortifying its position as the highest-grossing single-language film in the entire history of the box office.
Being an Indian gross of almost ₹989.9 crore, the movie is now very near the ₹1,000 crore mark which would be a great accomplishment as it would dethrone Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2.
Globally, Dhurandhar has earned almost ₹1283.5 crore.
Dhurandhar vs The Raja Saab
On Monday, Dhurandhar also surpassed Prabhas’ spy thriller The Raja Saab, which collected around ₹1.15 crore, while Dhurandhar earned ₹1.40 crore on the same day.
