The Logistics Sector Skill Council (LSC) demands the Centre to spend ₹3 trillion on infrastructure projects which require extensive changes and increased financial funding for the industry.

The council mentioned in its statement that the previous budget set aside ₹1.5 trillion for interest-free loans which would finance road building urban transportation systems and Smart City projects. The logistics industry requests this budget increase because its essential functions support economic development.

Ravikanth Yamarthi who serves as LSC CEO explained that the logistics industry supports India through essential economic contributions. He identified Budget 2026 as a critical moment to establish new standards for economic expansion and job creation and the Atmanirbhar Bharat development plan.

Yamarthi demonstrated that highway rail and logistics corridor investments have developed to their present state. He explained that increasing funding will create strong supply networks which will improve India’s capacity to compete internationally. The industry also stressed the need for long-term, sustainable infrastructure planning to attract investments, boost competitiveness and ensure balanced regional development.

Strategies To Increase Usage And Economic Development

Shrenik Godavath who serves as the Godavath Group Managing Director declared that infrastructure development will become the key element which drives upcoming consumption-led economic growth. He asked the government to give main importance to retail infrastructure development through the upcoming budget planning process which should focus on modern warehousing cold chain facilities and remote area transport corridor development.
