Some films should not be made because their absence brings better outcomes for the film star. The Nagarjuna–Prabhas combination is one such case, where a missed opportunity may have saved one actor from a major setback.
Nagarjuna–Prabhas Multistarrer That Never Happened
Tollywood has seen multiple multistarrer movies throughout its history which produced both box office hits and complete failures. The entertainment industry experienced multiple occasions when popular multistarrer movies failed to launch which afterwards protected actors from experiencing their most significant professional setbacks.
One such case involves King Nagarjuna and pan-India star Prabhas. While the two were reportedly considered for a film together, the project never took off with that combination. The film in question was “Krishnarjuna.”
Nagarjuna and His Multistarrer Journey
Nagarjuna has maintained his successful career through his work in multistarrer films which he started from his beginning as an actor until now. He has achieved successful results through his recent film partnerships which he established with younger actors Nani Karthi Naga Chaitanya and Srikanth.
The reports show that the team dedicated their efforts to Nagarjuna and Prabhas while they maintained their ongoing collaborations. Prabhas engaged in discussions for a major character in Krishnarjuna but he lost control of the project because of his work timetable conflicts.
A Disaster Prabhas May Have Avoided
The box office performance of Krishnarjuna failed to succeed because P Vasu who directed the movie had previously directed successful Tamil films. Nagarjuna performed as Lord Krishna while Manchu Vishnu played the main role which had originally been given to Prabhas.
Prabhas was forced to exit the film because his existing project obligations prevented him from altering his timetable. Manchu Vishnu took over the role yet the film resulted in complete failure. The story has received no official confirmation yet it continues to attract interest among Tollywood audiences.
What If Prabhas Had Done the Film?
The fans believe that Prabhas would have changed Krishnarjuna through his performance in the role. The filmmakers could have enhanced the movie’s chances of success by creating a script which matched his screen presence and star power.
Manchu Vishnu met the role’s physical requirements according to observers, but they note that he and the other actor have different levels of fame. Today, Prabhas’s fans feel relieved that he escaped what eventually became a big box-office failure.
