Our Shankaravara Prasad Garu continues its strong box-office run, refusing to slow down despite entering its second week. After opening to a massive ₹300 crore worldwide in its first week, collections dipped slightly on weekdays but surged again during the Republic Day long weekend.
On the second Saturday, the film sold over one lakh tickets on BookMyShow, followed by more than 1.2 lakh tickets on Sunday. With Republic Day falling on Monday, bookings have once again seen a significant rise, reinforcing the film’s strong hold among audiences.
The makers celebrated the film’s success with grand festivities in Hyderabad on Sunday, as the worldwide gross touched ₹350 crore. The complete team participated in the festive celebrations except for Nayanthara who joined them to celebrate the milestone achievement.
The film enters its second week of theatrical release because Monday represents an important milestone for its ongoing box-office performance. The much-anticipated ₹400 crore milestone will take time to reach but it remains achievable. With no major releases scheduled this Friday—except Om Shanti Shanti Shanti starring Tarun Bhascker—the film enjoys a clear run at the box office.
Trade analysts believe that if the film capitalises on the upcoming weekend, it could inch closer to the coveted “four centuries” mark. The fans continue to monitor the numbers because the team has completed all their promotional work. Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh will now concentrate on their future film projects.
Our Shankaravara Prasad Garu established a new standard for single-language films after his movie achieved the highest box office record in regional cinema history. Anil Ravipudi uses his knowledge about family audiences to create storytelling techniques which others now want to follow.
The industry insiders believe that the success appears to come easily but they know that others will find it difficult to duplicate. Ravipudi will announce his forthcoming project and its details to the public after he completes his current work on Sankranti 2027.
