The Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan announced during his speech at the 350th Shahidi Samagam of Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur which took place in Nanded Maharashtra on Sunday that all people need to protect Dharma through their assigned responsibilities.
Pawan Kalyan explained that Guru Tegh Bahadur stands as a heroic figure who proved people could defend Dharma through their personal sacrifices rather than resorting to violence. The Guy’s 350-year-old martyrdom demonstrates its educational value to viewers.
“Tegh Bahadur’s sacrifice is not just a historical event; it is a test of human wisdom,” he said.
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that the Guru’s martyrdom at Chandni Chowk Delhi on November 24 1675 serves as a reminder about the persecution which Hindu minorities endure in nearby nations. He called on people to demonstrate their devotion to Dharma by following their principles instead of making loud public declarations.
Maharashtra: A Land of Great Leaders
Pawan Kalyan praised Maharashtra as the birthplace of legendary leaders such as Chhatrapati Shivaji, Sant Tukaram, Sant Dnyaneshwar, Jyotiba Phule, and B.R. Ambedkar. He said the state has always believed in spiritual strength and altruism rather than dominance.
He added that India needs leadership that safeguards human values, and he urged youth participation in PM Modi’s 2047 ‘Vikasit Bharat’ vision, which he said includes cultural and social progress, not just economic growth.

Special Honors at the Event
The Gurudwara Chairman Vijay Satpal Singh welcomed Pawan Kalyan with warm greetings at the Gurudwara. The traditional Sikh turban and holy robe served as his ceremonial honor. Sikh religious leaders also presented him with the sacred Kirpan. Additionally, he inaugurated an electronic donation machine at the Gurudwara premises.
