Republic Day: ‘Sindoor’ Special Parade Showcases Military Strength

Indian armed forces showcase Operation Sindoor weapon systems during the Republic Day parade at Kartavyapath, Delhi.

The strength and readiness of India’s Armed Forces is an issueless data that got portrayed during the Republic Day celebrations in the National Capital, Delhi.The parade at Kartavyapath featured a special display of indigenous weapon systems used in Operation Sindoor, drawing massive attention from spectators.

For the first time, the Indian Army marched in a “Battle Array Format”, showcasing weapons, surveillance systems, and forces as if on a battlefield. The parade was designed to demonstrate the seamless coordination between the three defence services.

Operation Sindoor Theme Impresses

The Indian Army’s parade, themed around Operation Sindoor, stood out for its powerful representation of integrated military capability. Several key systems were showcased, including:

  • BrahMos and Akash missile systems
  • Suryastra rocket launcher, with a range of up to 300 km
  • Arjun battle tank

New Units and First-Time Displays

The parade also saw the debut of several units and features:

  • Bhairav-Light Commando Battalion
  • Shaktiban Regiment
  • Two-humped camels and Zanskar horses
  • Cavalry in battle dress, making a striking appearance

Air and Missile Power on Display

The parade featured advanced aircraft and missile systems:

  • Apache and Prachanda light helicopters
  • Nag missile systems
  • Dhanush guns
  • Drones
  • S-400 missile system, showcased during Operation Sindoor

Fighter jets performed aerial formations, while a Dhruv helicopter flew the ‘Sindoor’ flag, adding a symbolic touch to the display.
