The fire began at 12 midnight on Tuesday throughout the Vijayanagar Colony area which belongs to Nampally Police Station. The fire started at a vehicle repair shop which produced heavy smoke that spread through the neighborhood and created panic yet no one was hurt.
The residents of the area contacted emergency services at 2:00 am which marked the beginning of the incident. The emergency responders who arrived at the scene of the incident included firefighters and police officers who operated four fire trucks to extinguish the blaze.
Three Hours After Fire Containment
Fire officials said firefighters needed three hours of firefighting work to control the blaze. The emergency teams responded rapidly to the situation which enabled them to stop the fire from spreading to nearby buildings which would have resulted in more destruction.
The authorities confirmed that the incident resulted in no reported injuries.
Authorities Work To Determine Fire Origin
Nampally Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
