“Brothers Forever”: UAE to Host Week-Long Nationwide Festival Celebrating Ties With Kuwait

UAE landmarks lit in Kuwaiti flag colors as the “Brothers Forever” festival begins, celebrating the nations’ shared heritage and friendship.

The United Arab Emirates has declared a seven-day nationwide festivity to commemorate its enduring relationship with Kuwait which has created cultural, social and economic ties between the two Gulf nations for several decades. The festival named “UAE and Kuwait: Brothers Forever” will take place from next Thursday until February 4 throughout the seven emirates.

The UAE leadership established this initiative to present 40 different events which will include cultural programs and concerts and forums and exhibitions and activities for families. The celebrations aim to showcase the shared history built on trust, cooperation and people-to-people connections, while also strengthening future engagement between the two countries.

The celebratory events will feature major UAE landmarks which will display Kuwaiti flag colors through their lighting system while fireworks and drone exhibitions and a marine parade will showcase unity and brotherhood. The week will include concerts and art performances and cultural showcases which will honor the shared heritage of both nations.

The program offers more than entertainment through its workshops which draw their inspiration from Kuwaiti heritage and its screening of classic Kuwaiti films and its Kuwaiti food festival and its themed mall activities and its special tourism experiences. The UAE will extend warm hospitality to Kuwaiti visitors who attend the celebrations by providing them with souvenirs and special offers.

Media and economic cooperation in focus

The main event of the day will take place at the UAE-Kuwait Media Forum which starts on January 29 to show the results of their media and cultural cooperation which has lasted for many years. The forum will honour influential figures who contributed to strengthening bilateral ties and the forum will show rare photographs and documents which document their shared achievements throughout history.

The UAE-Kuwait Economic Forum on February 2 will bring together stakeholders to explore opportunities for deeper trade and investment cooperation. The discussions will focus on vital industrial areas and governmental systems and they will examine methods to assist small and medium-sized enterprises and showcase productive business examples which prove the economic collaboration between the two countries.

Major events in Abu Dhabi and Dubai

Abu Dhabi’s festivities include the concert “Kuwait’s Timeless Nights” which will take place at ADNEC on January 29 and feature famous musicians from both countries. The sailboat parade will show the UAE and Kuwaiti flags during the event. Yas Island will provide special entertainment options together with distinct discounts that will be available to residents of the UAE and Kuwait. Daily drone shows will display their aerial displays over Yas Bay Waterfront.

Dubai will present its own version of “Kuwait’s Timeless Nights” at Burj Park on January 30, which will be accompanied by cultural programs at Global Village and ARTE Museum Dubai and Expo City Dubai. Fireworks and drone displays and beach festivals and Kuwaiti Cinema Week screenings will act as additional festivities throughout the entire emirate.

Northern emirates join the celebrations

The celebrations will take place in Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah through the display of landmark lights and cultural festivals and food events and combined UAE-Kuwait music performances that showcase traditional food and music and cultural heritage.

A relationship rooted in history

The United Arab Emirates and Kuwait demonstrate regional cooperation through their diplomatic ties which started when Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Sabah Al Salem Al Sabah were alive. Kuwait became one of the first nations to back the establishment of the UAE when it gained independence in 1971 and the two countries established diplomatic ties in 1972.

The “UAE and Kuwait: Brothers Forever” celebration unites historical elements with cultural aspects and future goals to honor a partnership that keeps developing.
