Chiranjeevi’s new Sankranti movie Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu maintains its successful box office performance which has made it one of the most successful Telugu films of recent times. The film has gained about ₹265 crore in worldwide revenue which makes it the most successful Sankranti film to release in the Telugu regions.
The film earned approximately ₹22.75 crore during its extended second weekend which lasted four days at the Indian box office. The total domestic earnings reached approximately ₹224.25 crore after this. The international markets added ₹40.75 crore (approximately USD 4.5 million) to the global total which reached ₹265 crore. The trade estimates indicate that the movie will end its theatrical distribution with worldwide earnings of almost ₹280 crore.
Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu has already achieved ₹197 crore in gross earnings across the Telugu states which makes it the most successful Sankranti film since Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and Sankranthiki Vasthunam which both reached ₹196 crore. The film is expected to cross the ₹200 crore mark in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on Wednesday, making it only the seventh film ever to achieve this milestone. The twin states will generate box office revenue of about ₹210 crore because of ongoing successful performance.
The film achieved its best results through its box office performance in Andhra Pradesh which received approximately ₹100 crore from Coastal Andhra. The film will achieve top four or five box office success in the region with its current numbers which compete with Kalki 2898 AD and approximately 80 percent of Pushpa 2. The film used the festive Sankranti season as its main advantage which it successfully executed. The Nizam area is approaching ₹70 crore while Ceded will reach above ₹30 crore.
The film business has achieved international success because its Telugu regions only account for part of the film’s revenue. Karnataka has become a major market for the film because its box office earnings have surpassed ₹20 crore while Tamil Nadu and Kerala and other Indian regions have contributed smaller but consistent box office results.
