Xiaomi Refreshes Redmi Note Lineup With 200MP Camera and Bigger Batteries in Note 15 Pro Series

The Redmi Note 15 Pro series brings a 200MP camera, large batteries and rugged protection to Xiaomi’s mid-range lineup.

Xiaomi has expanded its mid-range smartphone portfolio in India through the introduction of the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G series, which brings substantial improvements in its camera system and battery capacity and device durability and software support duration. The new lineup includes two models which target users who need devices that will operate reliably for extended periods instead of offering temporary performance improvements.

Major Camera Upgrade

The major distinction that sets apart the Redmi Note 15 Pro series from other devices exists because Xiaomi introduced its 200MP primary camera system which they call the 200MasterPixel system. The introduction of the 200MP sensor marks a historical moment because it has never appeared in this market segment before in India. The camera features a 1/1.4-inch sensor which operates at an f/1.65 aperture and provides 4x in-sensor zoom capability to achieve better sharpness and enhanced performance in low-light conditions.

The camera setup includes advanced portrait processing together with Dynamic Shots 2.0 and AI-powered editing tools which provide reflection removal and beautification functions and enable users to share content on social media platforms at a faster rate.

Bigger Batteries, Faster Charging

All models received an upgrade to their battery capacity. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G uses a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery which supports 100W fast charging while the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G has a 6,580mAh battery that allows 45W charging. Xiaomi technology provides a new battery solution which retains over 80 percent of its original capacity after 1,600 complete charging cycles.

The two smartphones provide reverse charging support that reaches 22.5W and they come with chargers included in their packaging.

Focus on Durability

The new series centers its development work around creating products that will last. The devices are designed with strong internal systems and protective Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and multiple protection standards which include IP66 and IP68 and IP69 and IP69K to defend against dust and high-pressure water and extended water contact.

Performance and Software Support

The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G uses the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor which works together with its improved cooling system to maintain performance throughout extended periods.

Both models support Google Gemini, Circle to Search, and come with Xiaomi’s commitment of four years of Android updates and six years of security updates.

Display, Audio and Connectivity

The phones display a 6.83-inch screen which reaches extreme brightness levels while providing TÜV-certified protection for users’ eyes. The audio system now delivers enhanced performance which produces sound at higher volumes while maintaining better clarity. The Pro+ variant introduces Xiaomi’s Surge T1S tuner which improves signal stability and enables users to make voice calls without needing mobile network access.

Pricing and Availability

  • Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G: Rs 29,999 (effective price Rs 26,999 with bank offers)
  • Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G: Rs 37,999 (effective price Rs 34,999 with offers)

Both smartphones will become available for purchase on February 4 2026 through mi.com and Amazon India and retail stores.

Xiaomi uses the Note 15 Pro series to change its mid-range product line by focusing on three main features which include durability and extended product life and high-quality essential components instead of providing annual minor product improvements.
