Palki Sharma who worked as a journalist for many years and presented news on television will return to business after working at Network18 for three years as Managing Editor according to sources who spoke to BestMediaInfo.com.

Sharma has a history of starting her own businesses. She established Reyva a designer saree business in April 2016. The brand operated until 2019 and offered modern business clothing that used traditional Indian textiles including Chanderi and Kota silk. Reyva partnered with ethnic e-commerce websites such as Jaypore and displayed its products at several trade shows.

Sharma decided to leave her company because she wanted to practice journalism but now needs to leave her journalistic work to start her business again.

Sharma hosted the monologue program Vantage on Firstpost.com and CNN-News18 from 2023 onwards which introduced its viewers to worldwide news. This marked her second tenure at Network18, where she had held multiple roles earlier.

Before joining Network18 Sharma worked as an anchor on WION where she presented the main news program Gravitas. She has built her reputation as a news expert through 25 years of experience in the media industry which includes work for ITV Network Doordarshan News and The Hindustan Times.
